Stamping on Expired Passport?

My wife and I have been approved for I485 yesterday. However her passport will be expired on 08/14. Do you know....

1. If BCIS will stamp on expired/about to expire passport?
2. Is there a dealline for passport stamping if we decide to renew the passport before stamping?

You should use emergecy services at teh nearest Indian consulate to renew the same they charge some fees for same day renewal. That will be easiest way

Based on what was written in this forum, there is no need to worry. You can ask the officer to stamp on a separate notice (looks like I94), and that should be kept with the passport. then you can go back to the embassy, and renew your passport.
