I have recently got my landed papers for immigrating to Canada. Just before that I got my H1b transferred. My old visa is valid upto Jan 2001 and I have to land in Canada by February 2001. I have a commitment with new company upto June 2001 and besides the company has already started with my green card processing. I would like to continue here if I am sure I am going to get my green card here which I will know if my I140 is cleared.
How do work all this? How do I keep my Canadian green card protected till my I-140 is cleared? How do I work on getting my passport stamped? Should I land in Canada as immigrant and get my passport stamped for H1b? Gurus please advice.
