Stamping experience, and questions

Hi All,
My 485 was approved 2 weeks back, and I went for stamping today.
The stamp looks funny, it is just a message printed in red saying that it is temporary admission for a permanent resident, and it also serves as work permit. There is no emblem nothing like that. Looking at that I was a bit wary as it looks like just some plain writing, not a visa.

I am just curious, is it the way it is??

How along will take to receive the plastic card?? The lady in the counter was saying it may take 6months to 1year. As far as I know, it would take around a month.

I got the same funny stamping like yours

I got the same funny stamping just like yours this morning. My wife didn't get it at the same time. She took one and half hours longer in security check. Really don't know why they check security every where and every time. The only good thing is they didn't miss my wife's passport.

I got the same funny stamp and made me think for a few seconds, "Is this what I waited for all these years"
Anyways, total time spent at the counter was less than 5 minutes. No questions asked.
