New message: On October 2004, we responded to your request for more information c

My LUD changed today and the new status message shows the following message:
------------------
On October 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
--------------------

I'm haven't received this response yet. I was wondering if this response will contain some vital information or will it be the same.. "Due to large number of applications that need to get processed, there will be delay in processing your request......." same old.

Anybody received similar message for case status inquiry.

File G-731

You may want to file G-731 V ( Vermont) saying that you did not receive your PC.Some time it will help in getting the card. You will have to send a self addressed envelope to Service center for the reply.

received response letter from BCIS to my inquiry

Received response letter from BCIS to my inquiry. The letter states that the plastic card is still pending and if you have not received any response from BCIS within 60 days, then contact them at 800 number.

Did anybody receive similar letter.

If you have not received the card in 60 days, I would recommend you to goto Local INS office and report it.

I had a simillar situation, was waiting for almost an year but received the card in notime after I paid a visit to local INS office.

Madman72, help!

Hi, Madman72,

I was also stamped in July 04 and have made two inquires to the 800 # but so far haven't received either card or letter from BCIS. What should I do at this point? Can I go to my local INS office which is Newark, NJ office? Who should I speak to there? Could you please explain what you did at the office? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ljdh

Yo.....

I had some strange problem in getting my Green card.. For some reasons, post office sent my green card back to INS office (though I was living in the same address). From there on I keep calling 800# every month and open an inquiry which is no use.

I then finally decide to apply I-90 (for replacement of perm resident card) and went to the local office in Newark.

As I explained my situation to the INS officer, she called the National CSC directly and spoke to them. She explained my situation to the IIO officer and asked them to find my Green card and ship it to my address. (So I didnt apply for I-90 application.) I received my Green card within a week to my address.

So I feel you have a better chance if you go in PERSON to the INS (newark) office and talk to them.
