Stamping at Delhi or Calcutta

Hi All,

I going to India soon. The visa on my passport has expired. When I first came to US I went to Delhi Embassy as I was staying in Delhi for last 9 years. But originally I am from Calcutta. I am going to Calcutta and will be staying there. Can I apply there?

You may go to Calcutta consulate if you have a permanent address in calcutta or any region under the jurisdiction of that consulate. You can check out their website for details.
 
Permanent address on the passport?

Because my parents arn siblings are still there? And my passport has Calcutta address.
