My wife and I did our passport stamping at Chicago last Monday. We arrived at 8 am and left at 11:30am. My GC stamp will be expired on the same day of my passport expiration date, April 2005. My wife passport expired a day after the passport stamping (08/03/04) but the officer still gave her the stamp that expired on August/2005 
. However, he asked my wife to go back there for another stamping after she renew her passport otherwise she will not be able to travel aboard. Her GC stamp looks exactly as mine except hers expired on 08/05. Does anyone has this type of experience? I wonder if she really need to go back there again. She did not submit her latest AP in case her GC stamp doesn't work at the US custom.
