Stamped at Baltimore - done.
Hi,
Just thought to tell you about my spouse's stamping experience. I was already approved long time ago and got my gc in my hand. I took my spouse to the office for stamping.
1) We parked without any problem at the garage. We entered the building at 8 am (Baltimore office) and went thru security screen without any problem. We show our id cards (such as driver license, passport, or govt card). Actually, I show my driver license and my spouse show passport. The security officer gave us visitor passes and instructed to follow the sign to the huge room after we asked for stamping.
2) We stood in a line (about 10 people in front of us). Information officer gave us the number and told us to sit and wait for number to be called. We waited about 2 hours and half.
3) Finally, our number is called. We walked to the booth. Immigration officer was very nice and looked at my spouse's approval notice (courtsey copy). (While she was verfiying using her computer, we heard other immigration officer in other booth talking to someone that she didn't accept someone's email approval notice and she wanted only approval notice (either courtsey copy and official notice). Anway, our immigration officer asked for our address, my spouse's I-94s (old and current I-94s), and my spouse's passport. She filled out the I-89 form (biodata card) and she took my spouse's index finger to be fingerprinted, then my spouse signed it. Then officer stamped it on my spouse's passport. She said, "This stamp is valid for a year. You can use it to travel. You will receive a gc card in 1 month to 1 year. Here's your passport (smiled) and your approval notice. That's it. Have a nice day." She didn't ask for EADS and APs.
4) We got out of the building at 10:45 am.
Hope this helps.
