Stamp Experience

Today I went and I got my temp card. the whole process was uneventful barring the long wait.
I got to the INS at 7:15 and I was the second ticket number in my category, but didn't get called until 9:45.
the lady was nice she said how many pics do you have(the officer at the reception had already written No Passport on the ticket), then she asked I94 and work permit, I told her I don't have a work permit( stopped wasting my money 3 years ago), she processd my form and gave me a copy of my approval notice and a copy of my I94(she took the asylum approval letter) and she wrote (no passport stamp on the approval notice). this whole process took excatly seven mintues and she sent me upstair to get the temp card which back dated one year. that process took 3 hours due to computer failure.
at the end the whole thing is over and this ends my first part of the long journey.
to recap again:
asylum approved Feb 98
I485 RD 7/99 ND 9/99
FP 11/03
Approval 4/04..
