Hi Guys,
Just a quick question. Have any of you been to St Martins Island in the Caribbean? Well me and my wife are going there for a vacation next month and we wanted to register us with the US Consulate as we are both US Citizens. Unfortunately we can’t find a US embassy or consulate there. Does anyone have info on that? Also does anyone have any suggestions/opinion regarding do and don’t on st Martin the island? This is my first trip outside US as a USC Thanks guys.

Well, Sint Maarten (the Dutch part) is a part of the Netherlands Antilles, so the US consulate is in Willemstad, Curacao. You can register with them, but it'll have to be via phone or email or something, I think. You can also register with the US embassy in Barbados, which is in-charge of the French side, Saint Martin. Check Wikitravel and the US State Department websites for dos and donts :) Veel plezier, or if you're going to St. Martin, beaucoup de plaisir...

Hello all

Hello cafeconleche and prithis,
Thank you so much for that information I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello nkm-oct23,
Well the main reason we want to register this trip with the Embassy or Consulate is for just in case of an emergency that is all. After all it is a foreign country and we are foreigners Better to be safe then sorry. Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it.
