St Louis/Missouri Visa Revalidation

I have a valid visa stamped until 01/12/2005.

Now we are planning to go back to my country from Dec - Jan 5, 2005 for a short visit.

We need to revalidate our visa in Missouri. But the problem is we cannot do it now because of the 60 days validity rule.

If we are going to ask my previous employer to Cancel the old visa, can I then revalidate my visa with the new employer in Missouri?

I don't want to wait until 60 days before applying for a revalidation in Missouri since our travel plans will be so late.

WIll asking the old employer to cancel my previous valid visa will entitle me to revalidate the visa stamp in Missouri with my new employer?

Thanks a lot!

Nope cancellation of old visa will not help. Plan to get the visa revalidated in home country or make sure that you return before 1/12/2005 so that you can apply for revalidation with St.Louis before 1/12/2006

Thanks for the reply!

What if we return on 01/03/2005 and have only about 9 days remaining with the visa stamp, will it pose a problem for us with the immigration officer?

My new approved H1B I797 is valid up to 1/12/2006.

Looks like we need to go to Vancouver for the visa stamp if we are to go with a Dec/Jan 2005 timeframe.

visa revalidation

If you come back before 01/12/05 the new I-94 should be valid until the date on your new approved petition(01/12/06)
