I am confused here. My husband is working on his H1. He has applied through me as a spouse of USC. We applied for his EAD too. Which we have received. Does he have to apply for new SSN? Rightnow the SSN he is using says 'Authorized to work with INS permission only'.
Thanks for your help

your husband has to change the SS card only after getting the GC. I am in the same situation(was on H1 & they applied for AOS thru USC spouse), and went to SS office. They told me that i can apply for new one after getting GC.

i dont why they have my name on the chexsystem???????.

Its possible that you have a common name, and someone else with your name committed fraud.

Do a search on google to find out how to get off the ChexSystem list.

Do a search on google to find out which banks don't use ChexSystem, so that you can get a bank account in the mean time.

thanks for all ur replys . i am going find out what is the problem today, i hope its not a difficult thing i am in now :(

Interesting...

ChexSystems
The ChexSystems is a network of banks and credit unions that share information about mishandled checking and savings accounts. This information is used to help member banks and credit unions determine their credit risk in opening a new account for potential customers.

Check:
1. If that is your correct number with your COMPLETE name and address or
2. wait until your physical card arrived to be sure that is your number so you can have a proof of date since when you have that number.
3. You can open an account in a bank that doesn't use ChexSystem, the problem is that anyway means that the number that you have apparently was use before.

Looks like somebody misused that number before.

good luck,

I know of a person who is into gettig an SsN for the past 4 months ...without success...seems that the immigration folks have his birth year wrong and no one knows how to correct the error. This gentleman has personally visited the local immigration office in Newark a couple of times, but has been told that a) there is no error and b) the error has been rectified!! the SSA office claims they have not received any response from the immigration folks and so the story continues...
