I have a question about my SSN and card, I received my card today and it says "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" on the card,
My question is:

Is this card and number temporary since I am not a PR yet?

Do I have to report to SSA once (if) I am approved on my I-485?

LOL... first of all how in the world did you get married on the 17th of november 2007...... .. holy cow? we are not there yet or I"m I in another planet.......lol.
Anyway buddy,, yes when once your green card comes in the mail, you will be instructed to go and get a new card which will be the same number but the authorization statement will be taken off.
 
The card can be replaced after you get your GC, the number however is for life.

Right now your card has a restriction "Valid for work with DHS Authorization". After you get your GC you can request another card without the restriction.

The number will remain the same.
