SSN and FP issue

I and my wife filed for I-485 AOS RD:9-15-01. We recd EAD in dec\'01 and then my wife got her new SSN (she had ITIN Tax Identification Number prior to that).

When we went for FP in the form she wrote her new SSN. There the officer said it is deffierent from the records and verfified it again and corrected in his Computer.

Can I receive an RFE because the SSN / ITIN on 485 application is different from the FP?

I know there is not much I can do but wait either way? Still knowing opinion from experts will help when the sutuation arises.

It is just a record update...

But just to make sure that the SSN is really entered in INS system, you can send an official letter to INS (with copy of SSN card) and request them to update their system.
Seems like a very minor issue and not one for which you should lose your sleep.
