SSN After EAD

Folks,

Has anyone received an SSN after obtaining an interim EAD ?. Could some let me know the procedure for receiving the same .

Need to go to SSN office to apply for SSN card.

you need Present Status, EAD, Passport (and Driver's License in case)

Its a simple procedure need to fill out a form available online or at SSN office

it is a very simple process. The local SSN office just looked at my wifes passport and EAD card.


The SSN offices have access to the BCIS "approved EAD database"

So when you present your valid EAD card, they look you up in the approved EAD database and accept your application.
They will send the SSn card in the mail within 2 weeks.
