ss,physical gc

My parents got gc through cp and came here a week ago,should i apply for social security card for them or will it be processed automatically if i had marked yes for it in their gc application.
Also how much time for them to get the physicsl green card?
Any input apprecuated.

Their Social Security card application will be processed automatically and they should receive their SS cards in 1-3 weeks. Physical card takes 1-4 weeks to arrive.
