I received a SR response for my son today which says .."application was approved on 6/27/07 but currently waiting to receive your biometrics ...., you will receive an appointment notice as soon as there is an avaiable date and time at you local ASC office".
Wonder since when children under 14 started receiving biometrics notices..
 
It is strange but certainly not unheard of. You may try calling the service center to question it , or just go to the FP and be done with it which might be even easier. At least you don't have to worry about your kid's case any more. Looking at your sig, a second FP and recent LUD's after long delays might mean something. Did you check with infopass and see if your name check was cleard as well? Good luck.
 
My son who is 11 year old got his Biometrics in Feb 2007 and they just captured the picture to get on the future GC. We haven't got our GC yet still waiting from July 2003. So it is common to get Biometrics for children under 14 nowadays to capture the picture.
