spouse wants divorce

as you can see from the thread, my wife wants a divorce, and i received a green card based on marriage. I need to reapply for the permanent 10 year gc in august of 09. Is there anything that I can do in order not to lose the green card. Please let me know..

Apply for your removal of conditions and when the time of the interview comes, gather proof that the marriage was entered in bona fide, but it ended for unforeseen reasons. Several cases have been approved this way.
 
Sure. Either your are still married, OR prove that the marriage was bona fide. Its perfectly fine to be divorced by the time the interview comes along as long the marriage was not a sham and things just didn't work out.
