One of my friend is working in US on L1 (valid for 3 years). He went there 2 months back and will be there for another 2 months. His wife is planning to travel and visit him next month and has a valid B1/B2 till 2010. She will be there with him for a month. What documents should she carry to be shown during immigration check?

She really does not need to carry any specific documents. However, she should be prepared to answer the officer when she is questioned about why she does not live with her husband in the US on an L-2. "I have a job in country X" is a perfectly good answer/reason.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Her only concern was that she may be denied entry on B1/B2 as the immigration officer might think she is visiting her husband who is on L1 and may not return. She does need to return and her husband also will return after 2 more months.

What other questions could be asked at the port of entry in such a scenario? Are there chances of she being denied entry? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

My situation is exactly same.
My wife will be travelling with me on B1/B2 and I am on H1B.
Do you think she will have any problem entering if she explains why she needs to go back?
What happened in ur friend's case?
