Spouse out of the country while 1485 approved

My wife will be joining me in June 03 and will go back to school in India for almost a year and I have a good feeling that my I485 will be approved within the year when she is out of the country. What is the implication if any?
 
From what my lawyer told me, the only time your wife must be in US is when you file the I-485 and a few days after to ensure that INS receives the I-485 application while she is in the country. After that, she can leave and come back whenever using the Advance Parole or I-485 approval.

I heard the same story... Make sure, your wife has AP always. Otherwise, you might have to seek AP after the approval just to get her in.
