Can I transfer from H1 from one employer to another with EAD?
No one can transfer an H1 with an EAD. The new employer needs to file an H1 petition for you, or you work using the EAD and abandon your H1 status.

OK. What happens if there is a problem with my wife's I-485 after I switched to EAD? Can I go back on H1?
Yes, but you'd likely need to leave and re-enter the US. What are you worried will happen to your wife's I-485?
Nothing currently, but just want to make sure. Currenlty we are working for the same company in Texas. We are planning on moving to Kansas. Both of us are looking for jobs in Kansas. There are not a lot of information about dependent on GC. I know my wife can move company with AC21.

The dependent's situation is quite simple - he or she can do what she wants, work or not work, and in any field or location.
