Spouse 485 pending - any ideas?

Hello friends,

I got my 485 & 140 approved on Nov 18th (concurrently filed - RD 3/2/04). My wife's application which was also filed along mine is still pending. LUD changed on 11/16.

Is this normal? when can I expect her application to get approved. Thanks.

Was she out of status for any time before you filed 485? if so, you can expect NOID.

NIOD = Notice of Intent to Deny (the adjustment of status) - but that is not what is happening here. It is not uncommon for spouse's applications to be approved out of sequence. Although mine and my wife's were adjudicated concurrently, there are plenty of posts here where they were not. It's only been six days, so just be patient.

Thanks Wik for the response. Yesterday, the status changed to "RFE has been sent" for my wife. I am awaiting the RFE now.
