Spose name difference

Hello Guys,

my spouse has First name difference in passport and Marriage certificate.

E.g

In passport and birth certificate , it shows "Meenabahen"
In Marriage Certificate it shows " Meena"

does it create a problem? or can we clarify that she is also known as ( AKA ) the name mentioned in Marriage Certificate.

Get an Affidavit

You might need and Affidavit saying that Meena and Meenaben are the same...

If you feel that U might need it, get it in advance....
Due to so many Gujaratis in USA..I am very sure the INS Knows that Meena and Meenaben are the Same...

I got RFE for name for my wife--asking me to prove that they are one & the same--ofcourse my wife's first name was completely changed.

However, the minimum requirement is to get an affidavit made from her mother & one another elder person in the family stating the facts.
