Sponsorship email question

I filed for PERM in Chicago Center on Nov 14, 05 (EB2 - masters + 2 years)

I have not recieved a sponsorship email yet - my understanding is that you get one within 24 hrs of applying. Does anyone know if the email goes to my manager or company immigration rep?

I do not have access to the online status case - I can ask my lawyer to check and see the status - but should I be worried that I did not recieve the sponsorship email 3 days into the application?

Sponsorship Email

The email goes to the email address that was on the account when it was created. It gives u a link to the questionnaire. Once u submit a questionairre then they send u the email saying whether everything is fine or not. I dont know what happens if everything is not fine because for my application we got an email that everything is fine

Yes, the above is correct. Please ask your employer to check their junk email. Sometimes the DOL email is filtered to the junk email folder.
 
No sponsorship email - case denied 16 days later

Applied PERM on Nov 1st.
Case status showed "In Process" for 16 days
No sponsorship email (or phone call)
Case denied today (Nov 17th). Waiting for the letter from DOL stating the reason.
Lawyer says nothing can be done until the letter is received.

Here is the response that they gave to my lawyer when asked why they did not send the sponsorship letter till now.

Hello,
The sponsorship email is generated by the PERM Program after a Form 9089 is submitted and only after it passes the initial data validity checks. The email cannot be re-generated. If no response is received within 7 days, the internal status changes from automated sponsorship to manual sponsorship, in which the assigned PERM analyst will contact the
Employer by telephone in due course to verify sponsorship.

If the submitted case does not pass the initial data validity checks, no email is sent, and instead a letter is sent by US Mail explaining the decision.

You will be receiving either a telephone call or a letter depending on the disposition of your case.

What is the email address they use to send the Sponsorship email

What email address does the DOL use to send the email as. i.e. the from address.

I have checked all spam filters for any email from dol.gov, no luck.
 
No sponsorship email

We have checked all the spam filters and there is no email . I was told by the lawyer that the email would come from plc.helpint@dol.gov

We had out IT team check all our SPAM filters for this address and there was no email. Does the email come from any other address?

Pls advise...
 
Also, from this thread, it seems that the email goes to the email account that was input at the time of creating the account. My lawyer says that the email should go to the manager since his contact information was in the PERM form - is that not correct?
 
My case was submitted on 10/10/05, no sponsorship email, no phone call. Status still shows in process. It's more than a month. So I guess, you're not the only one. Just wait and we'll see....
 
Email Clarification

Email goes to company immigration rep.
Company starts an account before filing firm.It lists a Contact person (Usually HR )for the company.It is the contact person who opens/manages the account on behalf of the company.The email goes to Contact person.Email comes immediately (within 24 hours) after filing PERM.If email does not come, the company/contact person can expect a phone call.
 
Thanks for the replies. Does seem Chicago might be having a problem with the sponsorship email...

UnitedNations- can you send email address you sent the query on not recieveing the sponsorship email to? Then I can have my lawyer contact them ---
 
Well- just found out that we did get the sponsorship email about 30 mins back - why it took them 5 days to send the email remains a mystery. The interesting part is that the email came to my manager's address not the company representative. Well.. now for the next steps. Thanks everyone for replying to this thread.
 
I have also waiting for sponsorship email. I applied on 11/03.

Can you tell me from whom you get the email?.
