Sponsorship animosity

Hi,
This may be an unusual scenario but here goes:
My step-son, who is my wife's son, is an American citizen so sponsored us to come over from UK in 2006.
We have since fallen out of favour, big time; does/will this affect our status.
We have green cards as permanent residents and are in the process of petitioning for our son to come over from UK.
Any advice appreciated.

Your step son is actually at the shorter end of the stick. If he signed an I-864 for you, he needs to support your financially for 10 years

Thanks TC but I'm not in need of his finances.
My only concern is whether this scenario can/will change my status as I believe he has to notify the authorities if I change address etc

No, you have to file an AR-11 when you move. He has to file an I-865 if he moves.
