Hello All,

Our AOS interview is coming up in a couple of weeks. In the interview appointment letter checklist among other things it says to bring the sponsor's birth certificate. Is this absolutely required? My wife is a naturalized citizen and we submitted her US passport copy with the application. We will also be taking tha naturalization certificate along with the passport to the interview. Will this be enough? or should we locate where her Birth Certificate is? ( didn't thing we would need it hence didn't look for it)

Will appreciate any experiences!

Thanks!

Her BC should not be needed to prove US citizenship. However, having said that, the adjudicator may ask for her BC as an indentity document. Rare but it may happen.

Triple Citizen is right. It is rarely asked.
My wife and I went to the interview last week. We only put her US passport on the table; the official did not even take a look at it.
If you are a very cautious guy, try to find it out and bring it. Just in case.
