Hi,
I would like to sponsor my parents for visitor/tourist visa, but my mother's first name is different on my passport (and birth certificate) than on her passport - she is also knows with that first name but its not documented well.

Will it be ok if i just get an affidavit saying both names belong to the same person ?

Or should i not mention my mother's relationship at all in the application - it will be just sponsoring somebody else ?

pl advice.

Thanks!

Not sure what you meant by that.. do you mean it does not matter who is sponsoring and even if the information related to to relationship is incorrect ? - in this case different name ?

Thanks!

What triple citizen means is that you do not sponsor your mother. No one does. A B2 visa is applied for by the applicant (ie your mother) solely.

if the visit visas are self sponsored - that implies that it does not matter what the sponsor documents are ?? is that what you mean ?

In that case i assume it does not matter if the name is misspelled or is totally different on the sponsor passport ?

She applies for her B-2 visa using her passport. That information should match her DS-156. No need to complicate things beyond that.

In that case i assume it does not matter if the name is misspelled or is totally different on the sponsor passport ?
