Sponsor on payment plan with IRS

Hello All,

I am a USC engaged to be married and would like to sponsor my soon to be husband for his green card. I make the required salary to be a sponsor but I owe taxes. I am on a payment plan and have been making my payments monthly to the IRS. He does file taxes yearly and does NOT owe.

Would this hurt his chances of obtaining his green card? I have researched this issue and can't find anything related to this topic.

No. USCIS wants the sponsor to make a certain amount of money. USCIS does not consider how much debt the sponsor is in.
