sponsor for Father in law

Hi
My boss is a US citizen. Can she sponsor her Father in Law from jamaica for a green card ? Her husband is a Green card holder. But sinc eshe is a citizen, she would prefer to sponsor her FIL since it would be much quicker.

She cannot sponsor her Father in law. Only parents, brothers/sisters and children count as immediate relatives for immigration purposes.

However once her husband gets citizenship, he can then sponsor him.
