I am in US on H1-B and sponsoring my sister for Undergrad Studies in US. Would my H1 status can cause a problem with that.?
Do we need to show the sponsorship amount in crores.?
Please advice how much cash do we need to show. School recommned's to show $20,000 yearly for all expenses included.

I do not see problems if you have the money. Why would your sister be rejected if an H1B is a sponsor? As long as your sister meet all the criterias including the financial documents; she will be doing okay.

If support is shown from somebody in US, USCIS interprets that you will be obligated to somebody in the US. Hence you are likely not to return after completion of studies, as you have an obligation to make good in the US.

When you apply for a F-1 visa, you show ties to your home country, and never to the US. Financial support from US will be seen as a tie to the US and hence it will weaken your case.

Yes, everybody knows that 99% of all F-1 will never return. But US immigration system is broken and you basically need to "work it" correctly to get what you want. This will repeat itself in various incarnations for the next 5-10 years if you were to decide to stay back in the US.
