Just talked to IIO at 3:45 PM on 6/20/01

I couldn\'t believe when in just the 2nd attempt, I got connected to INS & then waited only 7 minutes
before anIIO picked up the phone. He told me that they are processing cases received at NSC
upto June2nd,00. He also told me that by receive date they actually mean, RECEIVE DATE. Notice
date has nothing to do with the application processing. He said that my application is not being
looked at yet but it will be picked up "shortly"as my RD is June24th,00.
I am hoping that the processing date will reach July or August in the next sweep. That\'s when july
ND cases like mine have a better chance approval. Until August, no more INS calling.

Good Info. Makes sense that Service Center use RD to process
applications. ND varies based the complexity of the filed
application during pre-screen process whether to accept the
application itself or not.

I am in same boat as you are. When I spoke ot the IIO he said that they go by the RD and not by the ND. My RD is June 27, 2000 and he said that it would take anywhere from one to two months for the procesing to be complete.
