Spoke with an IIO

Spoke with an IIO (Barbara). She told my case is pending. It is taking between 18-24 months. When I told her that many of my friends having
later receipt date are getting approvals, she said we go case by case.
Looks like they have\'nt yet touched my file. My details are:

Hmmm.. yours must be one of the few cases still left over from 1998.

I can guess how frustrating it must be (my case, 12/98, approved
just last week). All I can say is: keep your cool. There isn\'t
much that can be done at this stage (I know, call Senator and all
that, but it doesn\'t help unless the case has taken waaaay too long).

My heart says that you should get the approval (or some movement
in the case) in the next couple of weeks.

Keep an eye out for the postman/postwoman: the approval might just
show up in your mailbox without the phone message changing! (Happened
to me!)
