Spoke to TSC IIO - Same old story

I just spoke to IIO about my I-485. Same old story.
She said TSC is still processing the same old Nov 2000 and can't assign any case to an immigration officer. They can assign anything except I-485 to an immigration officer and said just wait for my turn, when???? unknown.

I don't think TSC is improving except some lucky guys are getting approvals.

Like you said, these few random lucky approvals cannot be taken as TSC is back on track and has started approving again.

Yes. They didn't release the processing time for May 2003 yet.
Now I am pretty sure why they didn't release it b/c they are still on Nov 2000.

attorney office telling about 485

According to my attorney's office telling ,TSC is a total mess now especially in the 485 processing. Unless the department impose a new regulations or allocate more resources /fund, this trend is going to continue for ever. With the wrost backlogs and the limited no. of resources, it is highly impossible to get the approvals on the timely manner. Bush government does not want to allocate more fund to the immigration purpose at this point of time.

It is very sad to hear this kind of information.

I'd be more than glad to contribute to any fund that funds TSC resources !!

If they collect $100 extra - backlog surcharge - from all those wating for more than 180 days, I am sure TSC can collect enough to hire a few folks to eliminate the backlogs...!!!

how come other service centers do it?

my thoughts: if funding is a problem how other service centers are processing properly. do they get more money than TSC? or does TSC covers a wider geographical area and hence more applications but receive the same funding? and imho, this doesn't explain the random processing. to me it looks TSC doesn't care.

My thought is , it has nothing to do with the resource or funding or anything, becuase it was perfectly alright before 911 with the same funding same geographical area and almost same number of applications, it took maximum 7 months to approve 485 applications. But now ...

My blame is on TSC director, he does not know how to organise and get the things done, he is the one purposly delaying 485 approvals. If TSC fire the current director and replace with someone else things might get better.
