Hi guys,

just spoke to TSC - the lady told me that our case is in "staging area" waiting to be assigned to a officer, when I called up last week the person told me that our case is with a officer for review and is very much being processed - what does this mean - i am confused by these answers, hopefully they clear many cases by this week.

I beleive 'Review officer' is a peson who gather/set all ur doc like 485 petition, FP results, namehcek results etc, and also check all manadatory docs are received and if any additional docs/ RFE is requried.

'Assigning case to Officer / Case officer / Adjudicatation Officer'
is the actual person who is trained to make decission based on docs and evidence were presented their decission is based on 485 'standard 485 processing guideline'

After Reviewing the docs/petition, ur docs all set and case is ready to adjudicate, the Review-officer faward it, then the case is assigned to Adjudicataion officer who make decission, or other word your file is on final process.

Its my understanding not necessary everyone should agreed with.

Good Luck

Kabbu,

Which number and options did you dial to speak to this person? What information did you request? Thanks

dial the 1800 no

press 1

than press 2

then press 4

than select the option which asks about RFE -

after some talk they ask for SRC no - enter it and then you will be transferred to TSC and then to a officer there

Will you be subject to the visa retrogression after October 1?
