Folks:

My details are in signature. I was fingerprinted a week ago and have approved EAD.

When I called NSC using POJ method, I was told all security checks have been completed. I was told by IO (last Monday) that she would e-mail to her supervisor to separte my file since all checks are completed. I did mention that EB1-India visas are current....

.........And today (Friday), another (or same, not sure) told me that my file is waiting to be reviewed by an officer and she asked me to call back after 30 days......

......I don't know what does she mean?....is this way of saying don't call us again and again....or she really meant to say whats going on with my file.

Guys..if you have any experience...please share it with me and thanks a bunch.

I was told similar things by IOs at TSC almost everytime. Generally they ask you to call back in 30-60 days. If your case has been already assigned to an officer then you could expect a decision within this time period.

Okay hold on a minute:

Why did you call USCIS? Is it to check on the status of your case? Your RD is October 2007, but if you look at the NSC processing times, they are still processing cases from April 24, 2007 and earlier. They haven't gotten to October cases yet. Contacting them before the processing times surpass October 2007 cases is pointless.

The IO's keep indicating processing times are telling us indirectly not to call USCIS until our processing time. But this is not the case in most of cases if you observe from this site or from trackitt.

I called USCIS to see if my security checks are OK and then I told IO that my visas are current.

Somewhere i read POJ means Prince of Jungle... This method is used to talk to Immigration Officer directly.

Call 1800-375-5283, Then dial 1, 2, 2, 6, 1, now enter your Receipt Number(this will direct to appropriate service center), and enter 1, automated message, enter 3, 4, wait in the line to speak with IO.

Hope this helps

what is the POJ method?

cool! is this only for I-485 or can it be used on other pending cases I-140. how long should one wait before one is eligible to talk to IO
