Spoke to IIO today at 12.15PM..ND 06/00

Hi Everyone,

I spoke to an IIO at 12.15pm....tried for about 45 minutes before getting through, and he said that a "Notice of Action" may be mailed shortly, but that he cannot confirm it (why not, I wonder ?!!!).... I asked him what is this "Notice of Action", and he said that they may probably want to have some clarification about what was submitted on my behalf....I asked him did it mean an "RFE", and he said yes....so I guess I will receive an RFE....But the AVM message still mentioned the "Your I485 application to adjust to ......blah, blah, blah".....

Have anyone heard about this "Notice of Action" ?

Notice of Action is the default name for any thing when you apply for something with the INS. like H1, I-485, for anything, when they take a decision (whether to issue RFE or Approval or Rejection). It is just an action they took on your application. As he told you, the notice of action is issuing an RFE.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I guess I will check on the AVM everyday and wait for the RFE to come.

..Always seems to be busy.
How many times did you try before you got thro?

I called 802-527-4913 too. Just that you have to continuously hit the re-dial button till it rings. Getting through during the day is almost like hitting a lottery.
