I spoke to IIO this morning at 5:05 am PST . The discussion as followes

IIo: Good morning . How can I help You
I: Good morning . How are you doing today?.
IIO : I am doing fine.thanks. You are my first caller today.
      How can I help?.
I : Could you let me know my case Status please
IIo: What is your EAC Number?.
I : I gave my EAC Number.
IIO : What is your address?.
I : I gave my address saying I am from California
IIO: Your case is looking fine. Your case RD is july 23rd 01 and We got your Finger print results on jan 04th 02. Results are fine.
Case still not yet assigned to an officer. We are processing as on today Jun 01 cases.
 I : Some of my friends are got approved who applied along with me and after me from same company and catagory.
IIO: I don\'t know about that to comment .Is there an thing I can help you?.
I : That\'s it. Thank you very much and have a great Day.
IIO : Thank you .

Now again waiting for approvel,Daily visiting this site couple of times and praying God.

I hope this gives an idea to others.

After seeing N number of calls where IIO denies to comment on other cases how come still our 485 society is asking IIO about other cases!!!!!!!! Atleast for me it doesnt make any sense.
 
A request to the anxious people

Please refrain from calling IIOs for no reason. You can always check using the AVM after hours. There is nothing that the IIOs can do if the INS is not processing June\'01.

Call up only for genuine reasons like no FP or address change or if INS has crossed your RD. For example If I were an IIO I would be more inclined to answer questions from May 01 people than from Sep 01 people. If you just want to check status do it using AVM.

Do not call for no reason and hold the line from people who desparately need to talk to an IIO.

The IIOs are not going to start processing your file just because you called. On the contrary it may be just the reverse!

My Rd is Mar 29/2001. I am hanging in hear patiently.

I am no one to say don\'t call the IIO often but I can request you

to be patient and resist the temptation.

In our daily lives we are so used to making phone calls to follow up on things but in this case we may inadvertently

1. keep the line busy preventing more needy calls from getting thru or
2. Do yourself and others a lot of harm by upsetting the IIOs.

Remember these are not approving officers, they can only provide information. But when we call up INS we think the guy we are talking to is resposible for holding our file on his desk and that he can put his coffee down and go back to his seat and approve our case, thats not ture.

A friend of mine had a genuine case of delayed FP for more than a year. He called INS and the IIO was so kind to take his information and his credit card number and arranged for the notice to be generated and FEDEXed immediately.

So if we keep irritating them, thats going to affect the quality of customer service to needy cases.

Lets be mature and courteous and PATIENT. C\'mon your Rd is late july for crying out loud. Not even past the processing time released by INS

From the preveious posts i think your I-140 is in CP, did you happend to ask anything about if they received your file from NVC/consulate or not? Just curious.

Talking to IIO wont help if it is a straigt forward case....

also..even if you happen to talk IIO you should not tell that my friend has got approved with same dates....

In this country its very clear that they treat even spouse case as a different case and do not discuss her/his details with you, so how can one talk about friends case. Its waste of time.
