Spoke to IIO about RFE Case

I just spoke to an IIO about the status of my case. My details are as follows:

RD: 10/12/01
ND: 11/30/01
FP: 01/31/02
RFE: 10/31/02 for birth certificate
RFE Response Received by INS on 11/22/02

She said that my case is under review. She also said that she can't say anything for sure but it might take another 4-6 weeks to hear back from INS.

Then I asked her if there would be any problems coming back to the US on my valid H1 visa if I go abroad. She said that it won't be a problem irrespective of whether my case has been approved or not.

chapter 11 there is no good time to call IIO. You will never get it in one try. You just have to pick up your phone and keep redialing till you get line free so you may have to redial for 10 to 100 times at one go.
 
They asked me to provide either of two:

1) Brith Certificate from appropriate local authority
2) Affadavits from both parents

I went for one. Had to ask my Dad in India to get the birth certificate.


In terms of calling IIO. I started calling around 8:30 a.m. Kept hitting re-dial for 20-25 times before I got thorugh. Once I got through kept holding the phone for 10-15 minutes till I got an IIO.
