Spoke to I/O at Nebraska, Name check pending.

I'd be more than happy (seriously!) to hear about recent success in WOM on i485. Moreover, I'll do the same thing myself right away.

Check this info out before filing WOM: USCIS said that it will NOT speed up the adjudication process of i485 based on WOM. It was an official info, I can't find the link right now though. By law (and unlike N400 applications), USCIS has no obligation to complete i485 in any given time frame. I hear that they simply dismiss cases lately on this basis.

This is a common misunderstanding. That USCIS memo simply states that they won't expedite just because you filed a lawsuit against them. Instead, they'll argue the case in a federal court. In practice, now they counter a WOM suit with a motion to dismiss, then you (or your lawyer) have to write a counter-motion why this suit should proceed. Then it's up to the judge to decide whether to hear the case or dismiss it. Some federal courts sided with plaintiffs and ruled to force the government to expedite i485, other courts sided with the defendants (government) to dismiss WOMs. From practical standpoint, it became so much harder to pursue a WOM since you almost likely will need a lawyer to write motions, do depositions and ultimately argue the case in court. But it's still your right to go to court to force the government to do its job.
