Spoke to an IIO this morning....

after being on-hold for about 15 minutes.

Nothing new....got the same answers. She said they are working on other "priority" cases right now and that there is still a "skeleton" team of officers working on AOS applications. When I asked her about FP, she simply said that FP is automatically scheduled and she cannot schedule them manually.

She also did not know how long they are going to work on those "priority" cases before switching officers back to AOS cases.

What can be of higher priority than addressing issues of legal ALIENS paying huge amounts of taxes every freaking year!

Personally I don't have an issue with them putting extra resources on TPS El Salvador.
However, I don't think they should stop everything else. I also think INS needs better public relations and inform the public a little more about what they are doing. It is in their own best interests to do so. For example, if they made an announcement that they were holding all applications until a certain date; people wouldn't waste their time calling, they would know the facts and go about their lives. Its this secretive game where they are basically lying that bothers me.
