Spoke to an IIO about my case

Real nice lady. She asked for my LIN# and then asked for name and DOB. When I gave her the info, she put me on hold for a few seconds and said my case was approved. Did the same thing for my wife as well.

She says both my case and my wife's approval notices were mailed on Aug 01 2002. She basically confirmed what the AVM said.

I told her I haven't received the notices yet and she asked me to give it some time and also read out the address to which it was mailed. She gave the correct address of our home.

It took me around 20 minutes of pressing the Redial button before I got connected.

I also told her saying that the only reason i called to speak to an IIO was because the AVM was screwed up and I didnt know if the status given by it was right. She acknowledged that there were problems with it and that it was getting fixed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for receiving the damned approval notice before I can have a sigh of relief.

I did talk toooooo......

I talked to an IIO as well, though it tokk me loooooooonger.

She also indicated that the AVM thing had seen better days and that I need not worry. Thie was yesterday 08/08 - th.

Today when I checked my AVM, it reflects the status before this whole %&^$# mess blossomed....

Congrats to u on your promotion. Hope you 're feeling rather Greeeeeeeenish now !!!!!!!

Hoping to be evergreeeen myself ...now just a pale tint though

Hey Greenie,

when u say '...I checked my AVM, it reflects the status before this whole %&^$# mess blossomed...', d'u mean that the AVM messg is fixed in your case?

The last time I checked was some time last week and it was still not working (my case did not exist that time).

If you mean that it was fiexed (for your case), did it reflet the latest status for you (that i.e. FP results received and processing resumed ...etc.)?

Please give more details.

Thanks.

Right On The Money (Again Green Dollar Mate !!!)

stillwaiting,

I think we are both
..... on the same I-485 paper boat ....
..... pedaling towards the distant Green Card Island .....
..... with IIOs and frikking attorneys as One-Eyed Captains
..... following the (often misleading) AVM beacons ....

I mean to say, I am also getting correct (or shall I say, the "familiar") which you indicate. The message now plays

"On January 22, we received your finger print review and blaaah blaaah blaaah"

This was the message that was there before the whole AVM thing went up in smoke......

Hopefully all this was some sort of a sick joke because I can't take it any more of this waiting...

In the meanwhile, I am still waiting toooooooo ...... :)-) :)-)

Hey Greenie...

Cud u please post ur dates here, just for my reference and to my consolation that there is some one else at same or similar level.

My details

RD 12/26/01
ND 01/03/02
FP 06/03/02 (Though this notice was sent on 05/02/02 and there was second notice sent on 05/20/02 - which we had no other choice but to ignore - Lawyer suggested the same).

AVM was still stuck at "FP notice sent on May 02 blah blah...it takes 390 - 420 days ..." (We had actually received FP notice on Apr. 29 - isn't it all so fascinating and fast - NSC moves at the speed of light, I mean life!)

But now the AVM says the case for this Lin# not found. Same for my wife. But it could find a case for my daughter and says the receive date to be what is actually Notice Date (prior to this goof-up it did say Received on 12/26/02).

Do post ur details.

stillwaiting2 ,was your I-140 approved for CP?

I was wondering why your case is taking longer than others.

SKA,

How do we figure out whether I-140 was approved for CP? [I am curious about that, since I keep hearing so much about it here].

Also, I am surprized u feel that my case is taking longer (my RD is 12/26/01 and ND 01/03/02 - I think I printed them correct!)

That way, everyone's case is taking longer (compared to what is going on at other service centers).

sorry stillwaiting 2, i guess i lost track of dates in this long INS wait

my bad. somehow i thought it is dec, 2000 instead of 2001.

You specify if you want to do CP in your I-140 application and also the I-140 approval notice says that too I believe.
