Spelling error on H1B approval

My last name is misspelled on my H1B approval.So if i go for a visa stamping,
Will this cause any problem? what is the procedure to get my name corrected
on my H1B approval!
 
I don't think it is such a big deal

My approval was spelt Siddarth instead of Siddharth (h missing). I believe there is a form that your HR folks can file with the INS informing them about this. My F1-H1 stamping was in Mumbai 02. I didn't face a problem about this. I asked my lawyer to write me a letter stating that it was a spelling mistake.

In any case, as long as your spelling is correct in your passport, I don't think you should worry too much about it.

But please speak to a lawyer. Maybe the rules have changed in the last 3 years --- I wouldn't know because I'm not a lawyer!

my I-797 has error in petitionar name

Hi Kindly can you tell me about your status of Visa.........Did you get it? i have to go for stemping in a week but i got the spelling mistake in I-797 petitinar name. Please guide me. What can be done best in this situtation?
