I was reading this post:

And I have two questions:

1) Double checking: If you get a speeding ticket after your interview and before your Oath, you are all set if you pay for it before you assist to your Oath right?

2) What happens if you get a speeding ticket when you are driving to your Oath?

Thank you very much your answers will be greatly appreciated since I have my Oath on May.

THANKS!!! ;)

1. I got a speeding ticket after my oath. I had 1 month to pay it, didn't pay it before the oath, but just took the ticket with me to the oath and the showed it as evidence. I had filled it out the N445 i think and the officer just asked me a few questions and wrote down on the form as if i had paid it already. Did not affect anything.

2. Funny, I almost got a ticket going to my oath. Luckily the cop went after some oriental guy in a honda accord who was oblivious to the fact the cop was following him for over 2 miles and he was still going almost 80-90 mph....

i had this situation, i got a speeding ticket on my way home after my interview, and my oath was a week later. i just paid my ticket, took them the receipt. when i got to my oath at check in, i showed them a copy of the ticket that was stamped PAID, they took me aside for a minute, then the guys says im ok. you should not have any problems, and im sure if you get one on the way there they wont care, but just be careful on the way there, during the wait til your interview you really cant control it, but if on the day of your oath, you can control it, just drive slow. my drive is 1 1/2 hours to my DO so that is why i was speeding on the highway.

Don't let it happen; take a cab or drive very carefully and restrict your route to familiar roads where you know all the speed limits. You won't have time to pay it off before the oath.
