Speeding ticket: Any problem in FBI name check etc?

I got a speeding ticket today while driving on freeway. I never got speeding ticket before. It asks me to plead guilty or not. If plead not guilty, then I would have to be present in the court which would mess my day and plus the judge would not listen to me anyway. So I am thinking to send the "Pleading Guilty", but just wondering if this would have any adverse effect on my FBI name check/485 record etc. Gurus, many would already have been through this.. please advice.

Any feedback is appreciated..

It does not affect anything.I already have 2 and the security checks are all clear. Its normal for people to go 5-10 miles sometimes and get caught. That definitely should not be a problem unless it is compounded with DUI or something else.

speediong ticket can be cleared by taking corrective action class if u want to clear your name from any insurance headaces

Dont worry about speeding tickets. Only if you get arrested that you need to get worried. I have two, plus an accident incident. My name checks all cleared.

I think you should have three choices with regard to your speeding ticket: plead "guilty", "not guilty" and "no contest".
As far as I know if you just want to pay the ticket and forget about it - you should indicate "no contest" option and send in the check. Some states even offer you a "defensive driving" classes, which will lower your car insurance and wipe out speeding ticket information from your driving record.

It depends on where you got the speeding ticket. If it's local you should try and contest it, usually the judge will let you go off lightly. Or you can pay the fine and wrap it up. In my opinion this should not affect your GC process.

Cheekoo,

FBI- RECORDS DIVISION phone number is 304-625-2000. ( I got this info from a friend. Havent done it or cross checked the number on my own.)
Call them up and ask them to send a package to obtain criminal record (fingerprint evaluation) info of urself. U'll get the packet in 2 weeks and it will
explain the rest.
But ur speeding ticket will not have any problems. Dont worry abt it. If speeding tickets start flagging the FBI records, half of the America will be on the FBI watch list! So relax.
