Wife has to go to India on illness grounds and may be away for 6 months or so. She was waiting to get FP done and cleared before going. Any responses will be appreciated!

FP - Feb 14 2001
FP processed and sent to INS - checked by phone today.

Does processed mean it\'s been cleared and we do not have to redo for whatever reasons? Also, any clue on how long it takes from now?
My original PD is May 97. EB2.

Most of the time, when it went to INS, it means it is cleared. Only possible rejections are (1) poor quality of FPs (2) FBI report is negative such as some crime scenarios. I think you can talk to someone at FBI to make sure that your wife FPs have good quality. Then, she should be able to go home!
