Hi All .
Applied I-485 RD 09/21/01 ND 11/15/01 . I have H1 Valid till Dec-2003, Need to Travel India in Feb ,have AP . What Docs do I need to take along with me if i dont want to use my AP ,Is I-485 Original Receipt is required or copy of the same will do,

In case if I use my AP , can any one Please tell me how AP Works , do i have to show AP while departing from USA and on Arrival in India and while comming back .

Some Please help me out of this ...

There are some many cases like you that do not want to use H1B. I do not know why?. Actually you are better of using EAD and AP than H1B.

While using your EAD and AP, you don\'t need any I-94 anymore which is usally valid only until the validity of the H1B.

My friend whose H1B expires in 2003, went to India on AP and had no problem. By showing only H1B and not showing your AP, you are making them believe you are not in Adjustment of Status. That might cause problems.

Always the best and easy way is to tell your current status. There will be no hassle.
