It wasn't that I din't find that post out of line. If you check, I had already lodged my protest. It is just that censorship is a very powerful tool. It has to be used judiciously. To give an example, hark back to the gulti thread some time ago, that denigrated to a brawl. Though you clarified your thoughts in the end, the middle was pretty nasty. But you were given a chance to have your say.
Which is exactly my point. In the spirit of free speach, you have to be able to tolerate posts that do dissent with your positions. Go ahead and flame that person. Ask him politely or not, to delete his offensive post, but arbitrary deletion is, in my opinion wrong.
Sorry about giving you 'TAKLIF', but that is my opinion. And for the record I definitely don't condone or in anyway support 1amShantanuB's post. But I feel he should have been given the chance to delete his own post. It makes him more responsible for his posts.
