Hey everyone I am another lucky fella stuck in name check with a priority date of June 22,2006.
I have been searching for ways to get information from USCIS but that is easier said than done.
This past Friday I did some search on line and found this method:
For example, if your case is at TSC and is outside the processing window, you should dial:
1-800-375-5283 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 6 - 1 - (receipt # SRCxxxxxxxxxx) - 1 - 1 - 3 - 3 (or 4)
I spoke to a representative (sorry no badge number) and he told me that i should take advantage of the 180 day rule... so he transferred me to what he titled "an immigration specialist"
I then spoke to this lady.... took my MSC number and said I was stuck in name check..
She then said she was going to check another system..
Then asked how long I have been married
She then said "I know this is frustrating and hard on the nerves..etc and then asked for my alien number...
She then goes.. .you have nothing to worry about... you are being approved.
I am very happy and still waiting but this is very positive.
I just thought I would share this and recommend others to try it.
you just never know....
