Some DV-2012 Results/Status changed to Not Selected

Guys,

The information below is presently being discussed on FB:

"Attention All members - We have information from people who have checked their status on July 15th and won - they have checked it again now and it says they were not selected. Has anyone encountered the same problem? What do you think? This has occured in Litva in particular".:confused:

"Zeus Lord, this is NOT a rumor, we would NOT put rumors here, so stop preading lies. I personally know the person who gave us this information - she knows the people who it happened to. They even sent the forms to KCC already, WITH the printed new notification letter. So stop spreading information you haven't checked yet!"

The wrong CN was probably entered incorrectly.

It really is crazy. I would e-mail KCC and send the NL in pdf format and see what they say. On the other hand, a friend of mine won DV2011 and received his NL in mail. However, when he went on to check online (just for the heck of it), it said that he was NOT selected for further processing. It was really odd. We checked it again and again at different times, but it kept saying that he was NOT selected. He freaked out big time, but when he contacted KCC, they told him that they had received his forms and that they were being processed. He is in US now.
 
I think the online thing is too high tech for K.c.c.they shouldve stuck to sending letters .

True. I'm guessing they are just trying to be more effective. They will need time to get things working smoothly.
 
Firi with all the trouble caused l doubt its been worth it.They wont get time to perfect the system.Because by the time they perfect it ,dv might have been ended .

...and suddenly I don't want my status is going to change to "has been selected" because now I simply overstay my visa,and then I get a free college education in California.Now joke,the governor of California released a new bill today that entitles illegal immigrants to free college education.Unfortunately everybody else has still to pay for education.

Unfortunately, nothing we can do about it. We can only deal with "consequences"...
 
On July 15th I checked the Electronic Status Check and I saw the notification letter informing me that I have been selected for further processing. I wrote down the case number (2012AF00012***) but unfortunately, I did not save a copy of the letter. I have checked the website more than once within the last couple of weeks and it always gave me the notification letter, but unfortunately, when I checked it today, it said that I have NOT BEEN SELECTED for further processing. So I am one of those whose status have changed!

If I contact the KCC with the case number I got from the notification letter dated July 15th, will they help me? Is there another glitch in the DV 2012 results?!

If you are not joking, why didn't you print the winning notification and the forms on July 15th or shortly after?
 
Because I am stupid. That's all I can say! And I swear to God I'm not joking.

The main reason I did not print the winning notification letter is that I was not ready yet to send all the forms and documents to KCC. I was going to do that when I prepare everything. What I have right now is only the case number I got from the notification letter, dated July 15th, 2011.

You should contact KCC for clarification.
 
That just happened to me too, please other users check if you are still showing as selected. something looks fishy here because me and my wife both won the lottery this year and both of ours show NOT SELECTED.

Hope they will fix it soon

It is a brutal emotional abuse to everybody involved in the DV 2012!!!!!
 
I have checked mine too,and I have alredy submitted my form, it happens to me too. called KCC they inform me that they are having issue with their website but you are selected. so cool guys donot worry
 
call KCC they will inform you that you are selected give them your Case number, they are already closed for today you can contact them tomrrow
 
Quite a bit of people have reported this issue since July 25th. Can't they get it right? It problem could be simple.
