I am from South African but am a naturalised UK citizen in London. I have my interview 29th July but my South African police cert will not arrive in time. I have all the other documents. Should I a) attend the interview and send in the police cert when I get it in a few weeks or b) should I ask for a new interview date?

Thanks

My advice is to attend the interview. While they process you documents, by the time the Office Processing is over the polce ceritifcate should have arrived. You will NOT be denied for a visa just because the police certificate has not arrived in time. However, they will not give you the visa if you do not submit the Police certificate.

Do not postpone your interview. You may complete your Police certificate later. The Embassy will just delay the date of your visa issuance until you provide them with the missing Police Certificate.
Ask someone scan the police certificate and sent it to you by e-mail before your interview date. Then, you will take the original to the Consulate later.
