Social security for children

It is very wierd but today I received e-mail notification that my son's EAD was approved and status is changed to card production.

Me and my wife submitted our EADs almost 1 month ago and didn't receive any update so far and my son's was decided even in less than 30 day. Anyway this looks promising as far as all of our EAD applications are the same and so there mustn't be any delay in our applications and I will make insurance for my son as soon as I get SS for him.

sometimes they processed other application faster..
don't worry...
anyway, you got to wait until you received the actual card, then go to social security office to apply for social security.
 
Yeah, today status was changed again to card production

can't wait when mine comes, i got video editing job and didn't tell them that I don't have social security, hoping to get it before i will be appointed

I just check my sons status and both of them got approved, I mean the EAD. (no card production yet though)...
Now, you said that our children can get a Health Insurance Coverage for free?
can you please tell me more about this?
How about dental, is it covered too?

Free? I don't know if it would be free, but we qualify for Obamacare. I am not sure if son qualifies for medicaid. Medicaid is free but I am not sure if only Social security is enough. Even if it is paid still I want to make it for my son to be safe. I think Obamacare is surely available for us once we have EAD and SS number.

By the way today my and my wife's EADs were approved and I got tracking number for my child EAD USPS already picked it up and waiting in next week.

Obamacare is relatively cheap in comparison with other private insurances.

i still don't know if children with SS qualify for medicaid if they do then medicaid is great, but when you parent get a job then medicaid usually cancels. But Obamacare is also good option for us, private insurance is very expensive in USA.
